Built by a teacher and an engineer

Clairoom started with a tutor's week: 45 to 90 minutes of preparation for every lesson, homework corrected by hand, and five to seven separate tools for scheduling, lessons, materials, progress and invoices. None of them was built for an independent language tutor. Clairoom brings that work into one workspace and adds AI that respects the student's level.

Co-founder · pedagogy and product

Elizaveta Moiseeva

CELTA-certified English teacher with more than six years of individual, pair and group lessons online, with students from many countries. Master's degree in Modern Technologies in Teaching English (Moscow Pedagogical State University, with distinction) and a bachelor's degree in Linguistics (Moscow State Linguistic University, with distinction). She leads Clairoom's CEFR rating protocol, its error taxonomy and the design of its feedback.

Artiom Moiseev

Software development engineer in test with more than six years building test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for mobile and web applications. Master's degree in applied mathematics and informatics. He builds the Clairoom platform and the evaluation harness that checks every AI release before tutors see it.

How we build

Three rules we work by

  1. The tutor holds the pen.AI output stays a draft until the tutor reviews it. Tutors choose whether homework feedback goes out automatically or after review, and can edit or withdraw anything.
  2. Measured before release.Every AI release runs through an evaluation set rated by teachers before it reaches tutors, with published targets for level accuracy.
  3. Data stays in the EU.Student data is hosted in the EU. Assessment features are built to the EU AI Act's standard for education.
